To perform it, the cartilage is not pierced, but rather a very thin layer of tissue (<strong>&#8220;sweet spot zone&#8221;<\/strong>) that separates the two nostrils.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the junction point between the two nasal cartilages, which are:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Greater alar cartilage <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Septal cartilage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After thoroughly cleaning the area, the Piercer identifies the correct placement of the piercing with the help of <strong>specific septum forceps<\/strong>. How long does a Septum piercing take to heal?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another important advantage of Septum piercing is its <strong>very rapid healing<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It heals within <strong>10 days<\/strong>, and you can change the jewelry, while complete healing usually takes <strong>a couple of weeks<\/strong> (about 6-8), although the time may vary based on individual characteristics and piercing care.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This involves a series of <strong>fundamental rules<\/strong> to follow, among which the most important is to <strong>wash and disinfect the piercing twice a day<\/strong> throughout the initial scarring period (about 15 days), without overdoing it to avoid irritating the piercing and extending healing times.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s also important to listen to your body, and if <strong>signs of infection<\/strong> (redness, persistent swelling, or unusual discharge) appear, it&#8217;s advisable to consult a professional.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, these signs should not be confused with the <strong>normal phases of skin wound healing,<\/strong> such as blood loss, burning and\/or swelling, or lymphatic discharge (composed of blood plasma, lymph, and dead cells), which do not mean there is a complication but that the piercing is healing.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, it should be noted that Septum piercing, thanks to its placement between the nostrils, carries a <strong>low probability of infection<\/strong>: being in the mucous membrane, the wound is practically self-cleaning.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3\">3.
