It&#8217;s also possible to add <strong>ear cuffs<\/strong> to expand the conch into an &#8220;orbital&#8221; style. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on the placement of the piercing, we distinguish between: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Outer Conch Piercing (<\/strong><strong>Outer Conch)<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> the piercing is inserted near the curve of the ear, and the jewelry passes around the outer edge of the ear cartilage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Inner Conch Piercing (<\/strong><strong>Inner Conch)<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> the piercing is located towards the entrance of the auricle and can be more or less external depending on the client&#8217;s desire to insert a ring in the future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Double Conch Piercing:<\/strong> two piercings are stacked in the inner conch, or an outer conch piercing and an inner conch piercing are performed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whatever the type of Conch, it is a <strong>thin and small piercing<\/strong>, yet capable of adding great charm to the ear and can be combined with lower lobe piercings or an Helix piercing.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conch Piercing: Execution, Care, and Healing<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before proceeding with the Conch Piercing, the piercer must <strong>thoroughly sterilize the area<\/strong> to minimize the risk of infection.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After that, the cartilage on the edge of the ear or just slightly inward (antihelix) is pierced using an <strong>orange cannula needle<\/strong> and the hole is made <strong>by hand.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Initially,<strong> <\/strong>a<strong> <\/strong><strong>straight barbell<\/strong> is inserted to accommodate initial swelling.
