COURSE OBJECTIVES
The objective of the Piercing Technician Course is to train professionals capable of operating in the piercing sector with competence, responsibility, and full awareness of safety procedures. By the end of the path, the student will have acquired a complete preparation that combines operational technique, manual skills, health and hygiene knowledge, and regulations.
The course aims to develop a professional working method, essential for working in a piercing studio or within structured tattoo studios. Particular attention is dedicated to hygiene, sterilization, risk prevention, and client management.
The training approach guides the student from the basics to progressive operational autonomy, preparing them to face the working world in a serious and professional way.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

Curriculum
The curriculum of the Piercing Artist Course is structured to offer comprehensive and progressive preparation. The program covers all the main areas necessary to become a piercer, alternating theory and practice from the early stages of the course.
Admission requirements for the course for students with Italian citizenship are:
- 18 years of age
- Possession of a lower secondary school diploma (middle school)
For foreign citizens:
- 18 years of age
- Entrance test in Italian (oral and written)
- Declaration of Value certifying the level of schooling

Thanks to the presence of instructors specialized in different techniques and styles, students will follow a path ranging from performing piercings with a cannula needle with forceps and freehand to performing with an American needle in total sterility.
From the early stages of the course, students practice on synthetic skin, but they also have the opportunity to perform tests on real skin under the guidance of our instructors.
Practice is the foundation of a successful piercer. For this reason, students dedicate many hours to marking and tool handling techniques, both on silicone prosthetics and on people, provided by the school.

To complete the training path and obtain the qualification, students will carry out 500 hours of mandatory internship, with the possibility of being placed in one of the more than 400 tattoo and piercing studios we have agreements with.

Information on licensing
M.T.S. is a structure accredited by the Lombardy Region. The course guarantees the license to practice the profession and for the creation of tattoos and piercings with the issuance of the Regional Certification of Tattoo and Piercing Technician, valid throughout Italy and at the European Union level, according to the new provisions regulated by Regional Law no. 13 of July 23, 2021, which define the professional figure and establish that to practice the profession, tattoo artists and piercers must attend a course and pass an exam.
