The Tattoo and Piercing Operator Refresher Course at Milano Tattoo School is the mandatory training program required by Lombardy Region Law No. 13 of July 23, 2021, which all sector operators must attend every 3 years to continue practicing their profession in compliance with current regulations.

The 24-hour course allows active operators to update themselves on regulatory, technical, and market developments in the sector, maintaining their professional certification in good standing.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The Refresher Course aims to provide active tattoo and piercing operators with the necessary skills to continue practicing the profession in compliance with current regulations, with particular attention to legal, technical, and safety updates since their last training.

Upon completion of the course, the operator will be able to:

• Understand updated legal aspects, including new privacy directives
• Correctly use new equipment available on the market
• Comply with updated environmental requirements for studios and workspaces
• Apply new REACH regulations on color chemistry
• Manage biological risk in compliance with current regulations
• Use social media and marketing for their professional activity

Curriculum

The program is designed to allow operators to continue practicing their profession in line with current legislation.

Admission requirements for the course for students with Italian citizenship are:

• 18 years of age
• Possession of a lower secondary school diploma (middle school)
• Possession of a valid Certificate as a Tattoo Operator and/or Piercing Operator in the Lombardy region

For foreign citizens:

• 18 years of age
• Entrance test in Italian (oral and written)
• Declaration of Value certifying the level of schooling
