MILANO TATTOO SCHOOL is becoming an international art academy, offering the only high-level technical and artistic training course in the world of tattooing and piercing.

WHAT IS MILANO TATTOO SCHOOL?
An institution recognized and accredited by the Lombardy Region, founded in 2011 by Dimitri Daleno and Katia Polastri, which aims to train tattoo and piercing operators in a way that fully satisfies the demands for knowledge and skills required by these professional figures.
WHAT IS CHANGING?
The 94-hour course existing since 2011, which contributed to the training of many operators in the area, is being transformed following Regional Law n.13 of July 23, 2021, into a 1500-hour training course, thus responding to the need to give new operators a complete training to satisfy the new demands of a field, that of tattooing, in continuous evolution and expansion.
WHY THIS NEED?
In recent years, the world of tattooing has undergone and is still undergoing substantial changes that have modified the mass cultural perception of this practice, leading to the evolution of teaching methods and the amount of time dedicated to training.
Ten years ago, tattooing was still considered a practice linked to unsavory environments and reserved for a few; often ghettoized and seen with a bad eye by the cultural mainstream of the old and new world countries, tattooing has now become a social phenomenon, a fashion, a luxury good to aspire to, expanding and diversifying its clientele.
Among connoisseurs, a current of collectors has formed who seek out the tattoo artist/PIERCERS and are willing to wait through long waiting lists, to invest and fly from continent to continent to obtain one of their “pieces” on their own skin.
In 2016, tattooing was included in the ISTAT basket of goods, and Italy emerged as one of the European countries where it is most popular and practiced.
Many people, therefore, especially young people, aspire to be tattooed—some to remember a name or a phrase, some to preserve the portrait of a loved one over time, some to mark a transition in their life on their skin, emulating the original Polynesian and Aboriginal cultures that started this practice centuries and centuries ago, but also just to be able to try and live the tattoo experience.

WHAT AWAITS US IN THESE NEW COURSES?
MTS – MILANOTATTOOSCHOOL responds to this need, modifying itself to face a substantial change within this world and becoming the only training model in Europe for the birth and growth of professional tattooists AND PIERCERS, true masters in the art of tattooing AND PIERCING, who through adequate preparation in disciplines ranging from drawing to painting, from marketing to shop management, from the history of tattooing to practical workshops on techniques and tools, from English to hygiene and the fundamentals of dermatology, from social media management to mastery of various digital drawing programs, from knowledge of the body as a work canvas to respect for important hygiene and sanitation regulations, manage to develop an in-depth knowledge and practical application of this art both at a technical and artistic level but also at a purely hygienic, organizational, and management level, responding to an increasingly broad clientele with more demanding requests.

Students attending the Tattoo Course trained by MILANOTATTOOSCHOOL become Tattoo Artists, highly qualified and specialized figures capable of combining technique, passion, talent, and knowledge, so as to establish themselves in the world of modern tattoo AND PIERCING both as artistic figures and as workers.
